DWM and Disciples’ Men Christmount Retreat

This post is from Mary Evans, DWM/CWF President and Rev. Andrew Shue, DM/CMF President. Please direct any questions regarding this post to either of them. [[email protected], [email protected]] Time is passing quickly, and we are almost ready for you at Christmount on August 9-11, 2019 at our historic men’s and women’s retreat. We are excited for the whole region as our plans are coming together! Registration for Child Care has been available for several months now and we need a minimum of five (5) children in order to offer this service for the retreat. Research has been done on requirements for Child Care, a leader has been secured, the camp kit has been outlined, and now we need to know whose children are coming to camp. Forms are in the recent regional newsletter and here directly. If you do not let us know your intent for your children to attend Camp Blue Ridge by July 19, 2019, we will have to forgo this wonderful camp idea for this retreat. The mountains are calling…see you there! Retreat registrations are climbing! Mary Evans, NC DWM President and Rev. Andrew Shue, NC CMF President…

The Legacy Fund

Dear North Carolina Disciples: The Christian Church in North Carolina invites you to prayerfully read our brochure on the newly established LEGACY FUND. Have you considered and determined how your assets are to be used after you are gone? Did you know that by making an end of life gift to the LEGACY FUND you can provide support for our Regional Ministries that enables this work to continue into the future, year after year? Have you, a family member or member of your church family been touched and blessed in some way through the work of the Region? Your minister certainly has. Most likely many youth, men and women you know have also. It is almost impossible not to be touched and blessed either directly or indirectly by our Region’s work as members of the Christian Church. You can make a meaningful and lasting difference through the LEGACY FUND. Just let God help and guide you as you think about this as a possibility. Blessings! Rev. Rex Horne Chair Endowment Committee …
